August - September

Monday, September 29:

T-shirts are now available! If you've given me your $10 membership dues and your permission form, you will receive your UFO t-shirt (just find me!) I'll bring the shirts with me this Saturday, so that will also be a good time to pick them up. The meeting went very well Tuesday--it looks as if we've got quite a few people interested, which is great! See everyone Saturday. - § -

Tuesday, September 16:

With enough people having already paid, the t-shirts are actually in the process of being printed and will be ready for the meeting on Saturday the 27th. If you haven't given me a size or dues yet, you still can since extras are being ordered! If you could get those to me A.S.A.P. that would be very helpful. I'm also planning on having a short in-school meeting (tentatively scheduled) on Tuesday the 23rd right after school to take care of some quick issues. Thanks for showing continued interest! - § -

Saturday, September 6:

It was another great day for frisbee--high 80s but a nice cool breeze kept us going. The sun shone brightly, which must have brought out all of the club soccer teams--tons of them. I was glad to see that we had quite a few new people show today. We have about 10 paid members so far, so we're doing great. Just keep those dues coming in so that we can get the t-shirts going this week! - § -

Saturday, August 30:

10:30 am rolled around and frisbee enthusiasts and prospective enthusiasts started to trickle in to the Bearbranch Sportsfields. It was a relatively cool day with temperatures in the mid 80s. The clouds were on our side today--blocking most of a what could have been a scorching sun. Everyone warms up by tossing the frisbees around and getting to know people's names. We played one long game to 10 points, and about 7 points into the game, a very welcomed light rain came through to cool us all off. By the next short game to 5 points, we had about 18 people total--a good turnout. We've already had a few people pay for their $10 memberships and they're on their way to getting the UFO t-shirt. I urge you to pay your [small] dues soon so that we can get this club officially going! We had two great games, and I look forward to next week! - § -
